Postage rates dropped as of Monday and you probably budgeted your entire year on the higher rate. I mean, who ever expected USPS to lower their prices?
The real question is, what are you going to do with the savings?
We have a few recommendations:
Invest in donor retention. This is a critical area every good fundraiser should focus on.
- Invest in more lapsed reactivation. Let’s bring back some of those past donors and re-inspire them to give.
- Invest in recruiting more monthly donors. Monthly donors have the highest lifetime value, and you’ll thank yourself next year for recruiting them this year.
- Invest in growing your donor pool. More donors means more future major donors and more future planned gifts.
- Or, treat yourself. You deserve it!
